Braghis Dumitru
Born on 28 December 1957, in Gratiesti village, Chisinau municipality.

In 1980 graduated Technical University, worked as a engineer-constructor at the Tractor’s Factory.

1981–1992 — various positions in the Comsomol of the URSS.

1989–1991 — deputy in the Supreme Soviet of URSS.

1987–1988 — instructor in CC of Communist Party of Moldova.

1992–1995 — General Deputy Director of “Moldova EXIM”.

1995–1997 — General Director of Foreign Economical Affairs Department of the Ministry of Finance.

1997–1999 — Deputy Minister, Deputy-Minister of Economy and Reforms.

December 1999–April 2001 — Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova.

Since 2001 — deputy in Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.

Since 2006 — president of the Social Democracy Party.
