• The Central Electoral Commission has approved the financial resources maximum limit which could be transferred into the electoral funds of the electoral contestants:
  • 7.5 million lei for parties or electoral blocs;
  • 1 million lei for independent candidates to the Chisinau mayor office;
  • 300 thousands lei for candidates to the mayor offices in cities or municipality;
  • 200 thousands lei for candidates to the mayor offices in villages;
  • 300 thousands lei for candidates to the counsellor seats in Chisinau Municipal Council;
  • 100 thousands lei for independent candidates to the counsellor seats in cities or rayonal councils;
  • 50 thousands lei for independent candidates to the counsellor seats in village councils.

• Five parties have presented to the Chisinau electoral district the necessary documents, demanding registration of their candidates for the Chisinau mayor office:
  • Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova (Veaceslav Iordan);
  • Humanist Party of Moldova (Ion Mereuta);
  • Democratic Party of Moldova (Vladimir Filat);
  • “Our Moldova” Alliance (Leonid Bujor);
  • Liberal Party (Dorin Chirtoaca).
