- The call of the “Chisinau inhabitants for Braghis” initiative group
- The OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE-ODIHR) has launched today its observation mission of local general elections in Moldova, as a result of an invitation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and Central Electoral Commission of Moldova. The mission is composed of 13 international experts, representing 10 OSCE member states and it is headed by the Ambassador Dieter Boden. By April 30, other 12 long-term election observers are to join the mission. They will be sent to different locations throughout the country. The mission will take into account the observance of the electoral democratic process principles, including obligations assumed by all OSCE member states, and of the national legislation. Mission will monitor the election campaign, mass media coverage of the campaign, implementation of the election specific legislation, the activity of the electoral and other relevant governmental bodies, as well as the developments with regard to the electoral disputes. The OSCE mission will send 100 short-term observers who will monitor the process in the Election Day.
- “Chisinau inhabitants for Braghis” initiative group has been created. The group members called upon the Chisinau voters “to take a correct decision” on June 3. In their opinion, Dumitru Braghis, the chairman of the Party of Social Democracy, is able to give the chance to capital city to become a modern one, in which the authorities will work in the people’s interest.
