- Opposition parties reveal infringements
- Trainings for electoral officials
- The Social Liberal Party (SLP) and Democratic Party of Moldova (DPM) candidate to the Chisinau mayor office, Vladimir Filat, have revealed some infringements being committed in the election campaign. SLP has informed that an earlier scheduled electoral meeting could not take place as the premise for this meeting had been occupied by the Speaker Marian Lupu. SLP has mentioned also that, though the Speaker had participated at an electoral event, he came to Telenesti with his office car.
According to the DPM, on May 11 and 12, more billboards presenting electoral ads. for Vladimir Filat have been destroyed. DPM considers that the way in which these billboards have been destroyed points to the fact that the actions have been well-planned and reveal the complicity of those who have to observe so that to avoid such cases.
- The Central Electoral Commission has started series of trainings for electoral officials (chairs and secretaries of the first level electoral councils and of the polling stations electoral bureaus). The first seminars were held in some rayons at the South and North of the country. The CEC representatives were assisted by ADEPT experts. The electoral officials were informed about the actions to be undertaken during the election campaign, the ways to inform the wide public and the superior electoral bodies, other aspects concerning the Election Day, electoral documents, solving out the appeals, etc.
