OMA parliamentary faction has distributed a statement "regarding the “active support for non-communist cooperation” within local public administration bodies. OMA stated they are working towards setting up post-electoral alliances in all local councils in which ballots results allow them to and appealed to all democratically oriented parties to contribute to the success of such coalitions.
The Democratic Party of Moldova distributed a statement claiming that the citizens of Moldova have punished toughly the current ruling party within the 3 June local elections. Taking into account the “seriousness of acts committed by the communists during the election campaign and their incapacity to solve real problems of ordinary citizens”, DPM decided to participate in the setting up of post-electoral alliances in first and second tier local councils with democratically oriented parties. At the same time, the DPM considers that the only way to overcome the moral, economic and political crisis being faced by the Moldovan society is to “consolidate the citizens of Moldova around the stable, competent and responsible parties which found their activity on European political doctrines”.
