• Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has set for repeated elections of mayors in Chioselia village, Cantemir rayon, and in Pervomaiscoe village, Drochia rayon. The CEC decision comes as a result of election results annulment in these two places by courts.

• Nongovernmental media organisations have released a statement condemning the actions of police representatives against “Euro TV Chisinau” station journalists. According to the statement, journalists of “Euro TV Chisinau” station have found 8 stamped ballot papers near the station. As a result of informing the police forces about the incident, on 8 June, representatives of police came in large number at “Euro TV Chisinau” and were aggressive towards TV station employees. The statement was signed by the Independent Journalism Centre, Association of Independent Press, Association of Electronic Press APEL, Committee for Free Press, Journalist Investigation Centre, Journalist Union of Moldova.
