On 30 March 2008 in the Autonomous Territorial Unit with special statute Gagauzia were held the second round of the elections of the of Members of People’s Assembly. The elections participation rate was 60.5%. In the second round were elected 17 candidates. The other 18 deputies were elected during the first round on March 16.
