Was born on August 1, 1939 in the Copciac village. He graduated from the Chisinau Agricultural Institute and has a PhD degree. In the period 1962–1975 he was agronomist and voce-chair of “Victory” collective farm in Taraclia rayon. In 1995 he won the elections for the position of Gagauzia Governor and kept this position till 1999. In 2001 Mr. Tabunscic became member of the Moldovan Parliament. In November 2002 Tabunscic was reelected Governor of Gagauzia. Married and father of two children.
